What this actually is

A cleaner who has been through all four vetting checks, working to a fixed room-by-room checklist rather than to whatever seems obvious on the day. What is included

  • Dry and wet floor care, with care taken at rug edges and thresholds
  • High and low dusting to nine feet — fan blades, sills, switchboards
  • Kitchen sanitation: countertops, sink descale, stovetop degrease
  • Bathroom sanitation: limescale, toilet disinfection, drain hair trap
  • Waste emptied, liners replaced, dry and wet waste segregated
  • Photographic evidence of the completed visit

What is not

  • Exterior windows above ground floor, and any work requiring a ladder over six feet
  • Moving heavy furniture or appliances
